Who wants to work at the State Department? I do, I do!

According to Politico.com this morning, Hillary Clinton’s previous staffers are working hard to try and land jobs with her at the State Department, but there just are not enough positions in Foggy Bottom for everyone who wants to work for her again.

Former Clinton campaign manager Maggie Williams is spearheading the hiring for the new Secretary and staffers from Clinton's Senate office, her presidential campaign as well as from HillPac, her political action committee, are all trying to get her attention.

Some people that are said to be staying with Hill are of course, Huma Abedin, Clinton’s traveling chief of staff, Cheryl Mills, who served as a general counsel and is rumored to be named chief of staff; Capricia Marshall, the director of HillPac and a former social secretary in the Clinton White House (but she is said to not be joining until after all the campaign debt is paid off). Senate staffers who are already working with Hillary int he State Department include Philippe Reines, Clinton’s longtime Senate spokesman and senior adviser; Andrew Shapiro, a legislative aide with expertise in foreign affairs; Lona Valmoro, Clinton’s scheduler and senior adviser; and Lauren Jiloty, Clinton’s executive assistant. Campaign staffers who are working in the State include Caroline Adler, who worked in Clinton’s communications shop; Ali Rubin, Marshall’s assistant; and Corley Kenna, a campaign researcher.

So far that equals.... 11 people. Condi Rice brought only 23 staffers with her. I'm betting that Hillary will have a bit of a larger staff than this, but thats still a small number out of the 1,000s that are trying to keep in close quarters with the Secretary.

I've already checked it out and there are NO jobs that I qualify for. But if I was qualified in any way shape or form, you BET I'd be in line rubbing elbows with the big kids trying to keep close to HRC. Good luck to those that make it!

The one person who shouldn't have been appointed? Hillary. She ran a horrible campaign why? Simply because she keeps on relying on the same group of "trusted" insiders who can be trusted to do everything but tell Hillary the truth. Think Patty Doyle Solis. People believe HIllary to be plenty smart but she can't broach differing opinions nor can she delegate.
She wants to turn the State Dept. into a one stop shopping/clearing house that will do diplomacy and development. Close the whole town down and let HIllary do everything. PLease John Kerry would've been so good in this job. And don't even get me started on Panetta at the CIA. Dude couldn't even keep Monica out of the Oval Office.
