Today's Appointments

It looks like today is going to be another busy day, followed by of course a busy week in Asia! Here is the rundown:

1:00 p.m. EST Secretary Clinton will give remarks to the members and guests of the Asia Society in New York City. This will be her first major foreign policy address as Secretary of State as the top U.S. diplomat. Vishakha N. Desai, President of the Asia Society, will be presiding. There is still no confirmation from her people about announcing Stephen Bosworth as her special envoy to North Korea during her time in NYC. The cool thing about this I think is that the Asia Society is webcasting this live on their homepage. You can tune in just before 1 p.m. Eastern Time at www.asiasociety.org. In the event of server overload, the backup call-in number is: 1-877-270-2157 and the pass code 01711457.

2:30 p.m. EST Press Conference call previewing upcoming trip to Japan, Indonesia, South Korea, and China

Also there will be a taped interview airing with Voice Of America and on the BBC on the Secretary’s upcoming trip at some point today. I'm not sure what time or where we can watch this at this point. I'll be searching for this and if I find the interviews they will definitely be posted at some point.
