Next Trip Officially Announced!

Gas up the Hill-Jet! Nearly a week after her first foreign trip as top U.S. diplomat to Asia, Hillary Clinton will embark on a week-long visit to the Middle East and Europe from March 1, the State Department has announced.

The week-long trip would take Clinton to Egypt, Israel, Palestine, Belgium, Switzerland and Turkey. The former first lady would also be having a crucial meeting with her Russian counterpart in Geneva.

The journey will begin with participation in the donor's conference for Gaza recovery hosted by Egypt on March 2.

Special Envoy for Middle East Peace George Mitchell and other high-level representatives will be in attendance in Sharm el-Sheikh with the Secretary of State during the conference, said State Department spokesman Robert Wood. She would also be meeting senior Egyptian officials.

In Brussels, Clinton will attend an informal meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers on March 5. She will also consult Allies there and seek consensus on the approach to the upcoming NATO Summit.

More info to come as the details pour in! Yay! I'm so excited for another trip!
