Norman Hsu is an asshole... Voice Mail from Hillary Clinton played in court

Well, I had no idea who this Hsu guy was, and normally I wouldn't give much interest to crooks and scandals and such, but he is making Hillary look bad and a voice mail recording of her was played in court! WTF! Plus, it been coming up in the news and I just want to clear the air on this case.

This voicemail message to top Democratic Party fundraiser Norman Hsu was played for jurors yesterday as he stands trial for alleged campaign finance violations. The message has the now-Secretary of State praising and flattering Hsu who -- unbeknownst to her -- was illegally funneling thousands into her campaign.

After Hsu's illegal actions came to light, the Clinton campaign of course immediately returned the $850,000 in donations he had given them.

Hsu is charged with making illegal campaign contributions by breaking rules limiting the amount any single individual or group can donate. The government asserts that Hsu pressured his investors to contribute to his favorite political candidates, including then Senator Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, with the understanding that Hsu would reimburse them.

Hsu's lawyer, Alan Seidler, called the investors "greedy and, frankly, dumb." And I call this guy "greedy and dumb" and an asshole for putting the reputation of Hillary on the line.

But one of those investors, health-care consultant Nicole Chorvat, got her revenge on the stand by detailing how, at first, Hsu came off as a charming garment-industry magnate and financier. "I met President Obama, Hillary Clinton, former President Bill Clinton... they always praised him." But Chorvat said she eventually learned that she had been duped and lost thousands because of it.

"Norman, it's Hillary! What am I going to do with you, Norman? You are working so hard for me that I just don't know what to say any more. I've never seen anybody who has been more loyal and more effective and really just having greater success supporting someone than you. ... Everywhere I go, you're there. If you're not, you're sending someone to be part of my events. You know, we're going to win this campaign, Norman, because you're singlehandedly going to make that happen. ... Get some sleep. Slow down for a few minutes. We're going to get to the end of the first quarter and then we can all take a little rest. Lots of love. Bye bye."
